MANCHESTER UNITED are closing in on the signing of Napoli star Kim Min-jae, according to reports.
The player has supposedly agreed to join the club with just the final details left to be sorted.
Reports from Naples-based outlet Il Mattino claim chiefs have persuaded him to make the move to the Premier League.
Napoli are already searching for a new centre-back to replace him.
The South Korean international has impressed in Serie A this season, helping his side win the Scudetto.
Kim has played 43 times in all competitions, scoring two goals in a team that has kept 15 league clean sheets this season.
He only joined Napoli last summer from Turkish club Fenerbahce for a fee of £15million.
And they are set to turn a huge profit on him with his release clause that Man Utd must pay rumoured to be between £43million and £52million.
Just a matter of days ago, it was reported that Kim has been offered a “colossal” contract by United.
The player has been happy at Napoli but has always dreamed of a move to the Premier League.
Erik ten Hag will be delighted to add Kim to his defensive options after the team struggled while Lisandro Martinez and Raphael Varane have been injured.
Luke Shaw has filled in there, meanwhile, the futures of Victor Lindelof and Harry Maguire could be impacted by this potential new signing.
Man Utd also remain keen on Kim’s team-mate Victor Osimhen.
The club could make a double swoop this summer with Napoli desperate to keep hold of the striker, who would cost over £100million.
