Michael Olissi, who canceled Arsenal’s perfect contract and gave up the opportunity to transfer to Tottenham Hotspur

For many, Tottenham’s transfer window has been a success.

A new goalkeeper has come in to replace Hugo Lloris inbetween the sticks, Micky van de Ven has swapped the Bundesliga for the Premier League to upgrade Ange Postecoglou’s defence and James Maddison’s £40million move from Leicester City has added more creativity in attack.

Yet following Harry Kane’s blockbuster move to Bayern Munich, there is now an onus spending the raised funds on more new recruits. And one player who we could see make a switch to north London is Crystal Palace star Eberechi Eze.

The England international is one of the Eagles’ most exciting players having enjoyed an upwards trajectory since moving from QPR. Last season was his best-performing season in the Premier League, scoring 10 and assisting four, leaving him with a number of interested parties this summer.

football.london reported earlier this month that Spurs were monitoring the 25-year-old and after Michael Olise signed a new contract at Selhurst Park, Daniel Levy may have the green light needed to launch a bid.

Having already lost Wilfried Zaha, Palace were extremely unlikely to allow both Olise and Eze to leave in the same window. Now Olise has committed his future, Spurs could make their move.

football.london says: The prospect of Eze moving to north London is a very exciting one and for some, a no-brainer. His qualities in attacking areas have made him an attractive individual, but I’m not 100% sure it’s what Tottenham needed.

Maddison’s move from Leicester has added some much-needed creativity from the midfield. Postecoglou can only name 11 players and Maddison is expected to make up the midfield trio behind Son Heung-min, Richarlison and Dejan Kulusevski.

However, Eze, like Maddison, can play in a number of positions and this summer is probably the perfect time for him to secure a move to a big club. After shining at Palace, a move to Spurs would see him share the reins as one of their star players in an important season for the club.

Eze’s contract in south London expires in 2025, meaning there could be a bargain on the cards.

Daniel Levy’s list of attacking reinforcements is seemingly increasing and Barcelona’s Ansu Fati is a new one linked. According to reports in Europe, Spurs have approached super-agent Jorge Mendes with their intentions of offering the Spain international a long-term contract.

It comes after it was reported that Fati wants to leave Barcelona after feeling he isn’t trusted by Xavi. The 20-year-old has fallen down the pecking order in Spain following the emergence of Abde Ezzalzouli and Lamine Yamal – who both came on before him against Getafe at the weekend.

Unfortunately for Spurs, they are not alone with north London rivals Arsenal also keen.

After breaking through the La Masia academy, he career hasn’t really taken off the way he would have hoped for. However, when called upon for Barcelona and Spain, he has bags of potential to grow into. A move to the Premier League, for obvious financial reasons, makes the most sense, but will Spurs be able to beat Arsenal to his signature?

The Gunners have Champions League football to offer and have flexed their financial pull already this window. Their interest could be a huge blow for Spurs.
